Freedom to spin about spin axis.
Freedom to tilt about horizontal axis. Freedom to turn about vertical axis.
As long as no force/torque is applied, then it is called free gyroscope.

Once gains spinning, North end of spin axis of a free gyroscope will remain pointing towards fixed direction in space due to gyroscopic inertia. (Star)

Gyroscopic precession:
Direction of movement of a North end of spin axis of a free gyroscope, when force/torque is applied.
Act always at right angle.
Force/torque applied vertically, precession will be horizontally.
Force/torque applied horizontally, precession will be vertically.
Rate of precession ∝ applied torque.

Depends on:
Spinning wheel direction. (Clockwise or anticlockwise.)
Point at which force/torque is applied.
Direction in which force/torque is applied.
